Summary:
Administrators recommend installing two new batting cages in the high school gymnasium to address scheduling and supervision challenges for the baseball and softball teams. These batting cages will be mechanically operated from the ceiling. The existing batting cage at the middle school will remain available for youth teams or as an alternate option. |
Budgetary Impact:
The project will cost $30,115, with funding from contributions raised by the high school softball coach ($10,000), donated athletic department funds ($5,000), and a portion of Fund 46 ($15,115). If approved, the project is expected to be completed within the current school year. |
