Memo for Career Fair Stipend & Alternative School Support Staff Wages (1).pdf

Summary:
Administrators recommend a $500 stipend for organizing the Career Fair. Additionally, they propose that classroom aides at the new alternative special education school start at Step 3 of the salary schedule, instead of the lower wage typically offered at Step 1.
Budgetary Impact:
The career fair stipend will be paid from the General Operating Fund (10). The aide wages will be recorded in the Special Education Fund (27). These higher aide wages were anticipated in the initial budget planning for the new alternative school.
